Hosting and server logs
This site is hosted on Cloudflare, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, your browser necessarily sends technical data to the server: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser and operating system. Cloudflare processes this data to deliver the site and protect it against attacks. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Cookies, analytics and fonts
No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels. All fonts and scripts are served from this domain, so opening the site doesn't contact Google or any other third party.
The only thing stored in your browser: when you close the notice on the Projects page, a small flag is kept in your browser's session storage so the notice stays closed until you close the tab. It never leaves your device.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to other sites, such as LinkedIn, GitHub or arXiv. Nothing is loaded from them until you click. Once you do, their privacy policies apply.
Contacting me
If you write to me, I use your message and contact details only to reply, and delete them when they're no longer needed (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Just email me. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the LfDI Baden-Württemberg.

Keine Cookies, keine Analyse-Tools, keine Tracking-Pixel.
